U13 Playoffs Start Aug 21
HSL U13 Boys and Girls divisions wrap up the season with a round of playoffs to determine a league winner. Playoffs will be played the week following the end of the regular season. With 4 teams in each division the formats will be identical - 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd for the first set of games, and the winners of those games playing in a championship final (no consolation game played).
While it is usually only the league winner that earns a berth to Soccer NS Provincials (Sept long weekend for these ages groups), this year the HSL has been awarded 2 berths in Provincials. So both teams in the championship game will be going to provincials!
Our current schedule has the Boys playing their games on Monday Aug 21 and Wednesday Aug 23 while the Girls play Tuesday Aug 22 and Thursday Aug 24. The higher seeded team (league finish order) hosts each game, and game times will be 6:30 as in the regular season. With games requiring a winner, 2 x 10 minute extra time will be played if tied after regulation time, and then penalty shots if still tied.
